Nuance Pet Photos Blog | Charleston SC Pet Photography bio picture

Hi, and welcome to my blog!

That's me (Els) on the right there. Granted, it's an image I took of my reflection in a window when I was 18. Let's just say that was quite some time ago, without getting into specifics ;)

I've been in love with photography over 25 years, but my day job has been as a freelance graphic designer, with my main focus being catalog, magazine, and book design and layout. I started Nuance Pet Photos as an endeavor to combine my background in graphic design with my love of animals and my passion for photography. So, here we are!

Oh, and the yellow lab you see everywhere on this blog? That's Cooper, my yellow lab, who was born in Southern California in October 2004. He's a true beach boy, who loves to play in the ocean, catch frisbees on the run, and chase squirrels out of his backyard. We moved from San Diego, CA, to Charleston, SC, in June of 2007, and despite the humidity and mosquitos, we love it here!

Thanks for visiting the blog. Cheers!

Cooper...

But poor Cooper woke us up at 4:30 a.m. needing to go outside…and it wasn’t pretty. So much for planning…
Our poor guy is...

Who’s comin’ when?

Cooper loves having houseguests stay with us, but, he doesn’t quite get it that he doesn’t have full access to the guest room when we have guests. He loves jumping onto the bed with his toys and then taking a nice afternoon nap overlooking the marsh. Here he is fully enjoying the guest room while...

Some changes . . .

Well, this two week experiment with the “Daily Cooper iPhone Photo” has left me with two observations:
1) Coming up with an interesting photo, and a story about Cooper to go with it, every day is not an easy thing; and,
2) I am finding myself starting to cringe at the bad image quality of the photos...

Who, me? (part 2)

He thinks i have no idea he has that “popper” in his mouth. My adorable Mr. Innocent.
(If you have no idea what a “popper” is, you might want to refer to yesterday’s entry. You can do that here.)
