Nuance Pet Photos Blog | Charleston SC Pet Photography bio picture

Hi, and welcome to my blog!

That's me (Els) on the right there. Granted, it's an image I took of my reflection in a window when I was 18. Let's just say that was quite some time ago, without getting into specifics ;)

I've been in love with photography over 25 years, but my day job has been as a freelance graphic designer, with my main focus being catalog, magazine, and book design and layout. I started Nuance Pet Photos as an endeavor to combine my background in graphic design with my love of animals and my passion for photography. So, here we are!

Oh, and the yellow lab you see everywhere on this blog? That's Cooper, my yellow lab, who was born in Southern California in October 2004. He's a true beach boy, who loves to play in the ocean, catch frisbees on the run, and chase squirrels out of his backyard. We moved from San Diego, CA, to Charleston, SC, in June of 2007, and despite the humidity and mosquitos, we love it here!

Thanks for visiting the blog. Cheers!

When i got home, i ran into this handsome fella,...

Cooper’s favorite new toy

Over the years we’ve gotten Cooper quite a few toys, all of which he somehow still knows by name (though he is a bit rusty on some he hasn’t played with in a while—mainly ones we have forgotten about and never ask him to fetch anymore.) Recently, Cooper has become fixated on a whole new “toy.”...

Blog neglect…

Without further ado (or any lame excuses) finally another blog post! Despite it being insanely hot and humid here the past month, we’ve found a few nice days to get out and discover our “new” hometown and surroundings.
First up: downtown Charleston.
While i do think it would be neat to see Charleston by way of horse-drawn...
